Sample Batch

A small selection of the purses, clutches, and wallets that found new homes this past weekend via the Fiber Arts Alley at Nekocon. Lauren and I sold lots of goods and got to talk to a ton of people at the convention, and we were able to send many of our costumes to new owners! Our closet is so happy and uncluttered, now. We're taking a short break, then spending some time working on finishing several dresses and a few other clothing projects (flannel Hello Kitty pajama set, anyone?).

Oops, we went kind of crazy.

Our local JoAnn's had a monster sale recently, so we picked up a few things. Some of the prints we purchased are being made into things, so we'll update as we go.

Lauren's new bag!

Lauren has this habit of looking at photos of dresses or purses, then making what she likes from scratch. I often walk into our sewing room to see an open G&L Bible on the desk and the pinafore pictured on the page (with a few personal modifications, usually) fitted over her dressform. She toiled over this thing for an entire day, and the result is worth it! The outer is made of supple pink pleather, and it's lined with pink satin.

Lots and lots of small clutches.

We went a little nuts with this pattern. It's a great way to use the last 1/4 yd of a cut of fabric, and we have quite a pile of "there isn't enough left but it's so darn cute" scraps. The sweet café, black butterfly, and pink polka-dot clutches are for sale in our shop, and the blue one is a birthday gift for one of our sisters.

Pink Bunny

Lauren modeling one of her handmade sweet lolita dresses in Williamsburg, VA. The dress is cotton and features detachable sleeves and a hooded capelet. Bunny plush hand made by Christina out of short pile minky fur and cotton.

We had way too much fun shooting these photos, especially when we happened across a vegetable garden.
